Good File Submission Practices
how we'd like your files set up
Our Preferred Files - PDF, EPS, TIFF, JPG
Our Accepted Files - PDF, EPS, TIFF, AI, PSD, CDR, JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP
For Scanning - The image should be saved at the original size and at a resolution of 300 dpi. If enlarging, the image must have a final resolution of 72-150 dpi for a smooth image. A general rule of thumb is full size at 150 dpi or half size at 300 dpi.
For Vector Art - Programs such as Freehand, Illustrator, Corel Draw, Quark Xpress, or InDesign, should have the page size in proportion to your final size. Please send all linked graphics and fonts along with hard copies and color guides. Save to CD/DVD or Flash drive. We prefer you to save Quark and InDesign as PDF's
For Raster Art - Programs such as Photoshop should be saved as native files (.psd) or save as an uncompressed tiff or jpg. Final size at 150dpi or half size and 300dpi is preferred.
Vector Art Profile Settings - Spot colors should be used where needed. Converting them to RGB or CMYK can cause color shifting and unexpected colors. Save vector art as native files, eps or pdf.
Raster Art Profile Settings - We send our files to Onyx Rip stations. We prefer files to have a color profile working space of Adobe RGB (1998) and the intent to be Perceptual for best color matching.
